Victoria Harbor

After China Town,we went to Victoria Harbour to look how does the airplane fly to the sky. When we were waiting the airplane, we saw two sealions on the wood and met three kids who are came form USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ.we talked to them and shared our journey with them.Look at the left top hand side photo ,there is a rainbow ,actually this is a sundog. It just like a rainbow๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Chinatown

Today, we went to Chinatown. There we experienced  the White Jade Tiger story. The tour helped us understand more about the story of the book we had read, and to learn its famous Chinese gambling game – Fan Tan.  Look at the left hand side, this is the place that people played FanTan. However all of this took place around 1898, when Chinese men came to Canada to help build the Canadian National Railroad. Many Chinese died building it as they had to cross the Coastal and Rocky Mountain Ranges.

Also there were a lot of things about China. Such as lanterns ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฎand dragons๐Ÿ‰๐Ÿ‰ And 80% of the buildings were red. Our guide, John, said that they were built according to our Chinese traditional to build.

BC Museum

We went to the BC museum. Mimi said that we needed to find people who was speaking English. Listen to their conversations and see how well we could understand them, and if possible find ways to interject and become part of the conversation. So, I tried to talk with local people. I was very nervous when I was talking with John and Rose. I tried to open a new topic, such as, where did they come from and where had the visited in Victoria. The top photo is our selfie. Compared to Hong Kong people, the people are very polite and talkative.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

This photo was taken by Rose.

These three photos represent my favorite moments at the BC Museum. The human history exhibit let me knew more about different countries’ languages, such as the Aboriginal people of Canada and their Asiatic pasts.

Water Sports

We did water sports in the morning. We kayaked, canoed, went SUPing, and had fun on a Hobie Mirage Eclipse. These activities were so much fun, because I hadn’t done any of them before. The most challenging part was standing on a stand-up board as I am not good at balance but helped me learn how to balance myself. Now, I can balance well on a stand-up board. I am so proud of myself and much more confident.๐Ÿ˜Ž I found out that I really like playing water sports. Also, I want to move to Canada, because I think the air is very fresh and the sky is beautiful.
