New Home Impressions
It was my fifteenth day in Canada, I thought I had been changing these days. When I arrived Vancouver and came in our home. The feeling was probably different from that of 5050 Cordova Bay in Victoria. It made me think more about the time to leave. I needed to treasure the time when I was still in Canada as much as I could. This was because I knew that it was also my first time and last time to be in this house with my friends. It inspired me that I can't treasure anything when something is over. I need to treasure everything that I have owned.
Redlen Technologies
We went to Eric’s office and had lessons about redlen technologies. It is a leading developer and manufacturer of high-resolution Cadmium-Zinc-Telluride. Not only does his company focus on supporting all X-Ray and imaging technologies etc,it also has a strong emphasis on security and medical imaging. It brings convenience to us and users of the technology more income.
Making Skits
We were going to take video about my life without my real hand but the other people to become my hand. Linda and Daisy became my hand and I needed to eat chocolate. It was such fun, because I couldn't control their hand and they couldn't find the way to open the chocolate bar. I tried to use my voice to give direction for them but Mimi said that I couldn't do that. This was because I needed to treat them as my hand. It has inspired me to think of collaboration with them. I thought that no one can succeed on their own but they can become successful by taking one’s fault to reference and improve. Also one can take other people's idea to become our own idea. Therefore they can achieve success easier by taking other people's idea and become our own idea.
Hiking Up Mount Doug
We also hiked up Mount Doug. The path was not very difficult for me, because when I was little, I always climbed and hiked. 😎😎I enjoyed exercising. The hike recalled my childhood memories, I still remember when I was 8 years old, I used to climb with my brother and sister. My sister is not good at climbing but I am. So I would always hide behind trees and scare her. It was a such beautiful memories in my life.
Shopping At Costco
We went to Costco to do our economic project and shop. When we arrived at Costco, it was still closed. Then we waited in the front and sang ''One Call Away'' . After 20 minutes it was opened. It is so big and they had a wide variety foods. In the left photo, it is our lunch. We tried poutine. It was so delicious.
Peak-To-Peak
Also we went to Whistler mountain and we took a Gondola up the mountain. This gondola was not too far off the ground, so I enjoyed the ride. We also took the Peak-to-Peak Gondola and wow, it was very high. I didn’t like it at all even though the views were stunning. However, Whistler Mountain is such wonderful place. We ate lunch at the top, and then we walked to the top where the snow was!! I loved being on a big snowy mountain top. Eric, Steven and I had fun having snow ball games. It was just like it was winter, only I think, since it was summer time, a lot warmer! ☃☃☃
Noodle Box
After the BC Museum, we went to The Noodle box to have dinner. I had a Coconut Curry Noodlebox. It was not very spicy. I liked this food but there was too much chicken. I just couldn’t finish it. I liked the restaurant’s decorations. They really attracted my attention and I couldn’t take my eyes off the interior. TheLED lights were very beautiful.
Long Beach
We also went to a beach called ‘Long beach’. It is the most beautiful beach that I have ever seen whether the sun shines or not. The rains had stopped earlier in the morning, but when we arrived at Long Beach the sun, hidden behind the mist and fog, gave the beach a feeling of walking into the unknown. We walked along the beach, played in the sand and at the water’s edge. It was shallow, and the waves rolled on and on. There were surfers in and out of the water, and they were in such good shape. 😎 We couldn’t help but admire their fitness and strength.
Vancouver Harbour Sunset Dinner Cruise
Our last activity was our dinner cruise around Vancouver Harbour. We were all so excited, because finally, we were doing something that we could really get dressed up for….well at least us girls were excited, I’m not too sure whether the boys cared or not, but we girls did! So after getting all dressed up, we headed off for this final activity. Even though, it was a bit rainy, so the views were not as gorgeous as we would have liked, being on a boat and cruising around Vancouver was still very interesting. I did miss not seeing the sunset over Bowen Island though, because Mimi told us that it would be lovely.
I was also a bit down for this activity, because it was our last activity…well not quite…before we headed home. 🤐🤐🤐 It wasn’t our last activity because Eric and Mimi had agreed that we could have a slumber party when we got home. We were so happy about this and it was so much fun. We played this mystery game, which got us talking and laughing a lot. Mimi and Eric joined in the game until about 1pm, but we stayed up much later than that.
We had packed at dinner time, so all we had to do in the morning was to have our last showers, breakfast, and take a last group photo.
